For a brain tumor patient, especially a child, having to leave your home, family and friends to see a Neuro-oncologist in another state is an extreme hardship. We successfully supported the recruiting of Neuro-oncologist Aaron Mammoser to the LSU Dept. of Neurosurgery in New Orleans and now we’ve set a goal of helping to recruit a Pediatric Neuro-oncologist for the younger members of our community battling brain tumors.

In this video, Dr. Mammoser talks about the stress of travel on brain cancer patients. We hope you will help us reach our goal by registering to run or walk in the Kelsey Bradley Favrot Memorial 5K on the morning of Sunday, Oct. 7 in Audubon Park.

Thanks to fundraising efforts like Kelsey’s race, Dr. Mammoser has been treating brain cancer patients at LSU Health New Orleans for two years now. Register for the race here.
