Six hundred runners and supporters turned out Sunday Oct. 16 in Audubon Park for the 5th Annual Kelsey Bradley Favrot Memorial 5K Run/Walk. In the five years since it began, the Kelsey Bradley Favrot Memorial 5k Run/Walk has raised over a quarter of a million dollars to expand neuro-oncology care at LSU Health New Orleans Department of Neurosurgery. Neuro-oncologist Aaron Mammoser has been seeing patients in New Orleans for nearly three years now and is overseeing numerous clinical trials in adult brain tumor patients. These fundraising efforts are making a tremendous difference in the care and comfort of patients and families dealing with a brain cancer diagnosis.
